Follow the above links to see the Dept, Class, and Lot numbers for entries to the Goshen Country Fair. Make sure you have your entries in by the deadline and make sure they are correct. Changes to your entry after the deadline will not be excepted.

Again this year at the Goshen Country Fair local 4H'ers and adults will bring their livestock to be judged and compared with the goal being that coveted First Place ribbon (as well as the monies that go along with the ribbon). Bring your family to the Judging Tent to see a night full of entertainment! 

Please join us on Monday night for our 3rdd annual "DAIRY FUN NIGHT" @ 8PM. Ever wonder what a cow would look like as super woman or a dancer then come on out to suport us. Watch our cow milking contest, cow dress up contest and much much more!!!. Hope to see you Monday night bring your friends along YOU will be our judges.

 

                                                                   LIVESTOCK RULES

 

ALL LIVESTOCK MUST BE ON THE GROUNDS BY YOUR ARRIVAL TIME. If you have more than one load your first load must be in by the time stated. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

1. All livestock offered for premiums must have been the property of the owners for thirty (30) days or longer. Health Certificates (aka Certificate of Veterinary Inspection") are to be issued in the name of the Exhibitor.

2. Joint ownership of livestock is considered to be as one owner in accordance with the registration papers

3. Any animal of unthrifty nature, unsuitable condition, or which cannot be satisfactorily handled under show conditions must be removed from the Fairgrounds.

4. Over fitting of cattle is discouraged. Any artificial means used to change the form or shape of an animal will disqualify it from competition

5. Livestock Exhibitors are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary barn area during Fair week. All equipment must be removed promptly as the Supervisor may direct.

6. Exhibitor is responsible to furnish all hay, grain, etc. The Fair is responsible for supplying water to all livestock. Straw is provided by the Fair.

7. It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor to know the judging schedule. Stock must be in the ring promptly on call and a failure to comply with the order renders Exhibitors liable to be ruled out of the competition. No person shall be allowed in the ring while stock is being judged except the Judge, Supervisors and necessary attendants.

8. The decision of the judges shall be final in all cases except where a mistake, fraud, misrepresentation, or collusion, not discovered at the time of award, is proved. In such cases, the Livestock Supervisor may make the decision.

9. If award ribbons are stolen or destroyed, the exhibitor may receive a duplicate at the close of the Fair or show (to be supplied by the Fair free of charge).

10. All prize money will be paid by check. The fair will do it’s best to have checks available for pickup Saturday Aug 1 2009 after 10 PM. Those who can not pick up their checks by then, The fair will mail your checks out.

11. ALL 4-H ANIMALS SHOWING IN THE FITTING CLASS MUST BE FITTED BY THE 4-HER THAT IS SHOWING THE ANIMAL IN THE CLASS. If the animal is not groomed by the 4-Her all prize money will be forfeited . NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

12. The base date for computing health rules will be the opening day of the show
